For the second year we hosted a dinner party at our house for New Years Eve. We welcomed 18 friends into our home for a night of Spanish tapas and (lots of) wine. This year Cooper was in attendance and he couldn't have been a better co-host. He slept most of the time so Ben and I were able to spend the evening chatting with friends and tasting all of the wonderful food. We sampled dishes such as homemade pasta with truffle oil and parmesan; bacon-wrapped figs

stuffed with almonds and blue cheese; meat and olive filled empanadas; jamon & tomato empanadas; meatballs; hamballs; a cheese plate; balsamic-reduced sausage... it all was fantastic - thanks to everyone who brought a dish!! We rang in the new year with close friends and our son in our arms and it couldn't have been a better start to 2010.
